Piņa Coladas
(Puerto Rican pineapple-coconut beverage)
Yield: 2-3 servings

| Pineapple | cut in chunks | 2 cups |
| Coconut milk | 2/3 cup | |
| Rum, white | 1/2 to 3/4 cup | |
| Ice | crushed | 2 cups |
| Sugar (if needed) | 2 Tbsp |
METHOD
Basic Steps: Puree → Chill
- Place all ingredients except for the sugar in a blender and puree till smooth.
- Taste and add sugar if needed. (Add more rum if you need it too). Blend again.
NOTES
- This drink - whose name simply means "strained pineapple" - was invented in the 1950s or 1960s in San Juan by either Ramon Marrero at the Caribe Hilton or at Barranchina Bar by Don Ramon Portas Mingat, depending on whom you believe. Either way it's delicious.
