Biography

I have a degree in culinary arts from the Culinary Institute of America in New York and have worked in the foodservice industry for 15 years, from line cook to sous chef to executive chef to general manager. I currently work as a content and project manager for an online food judging organization.

I research each country's cuisine with books, in conversations and on the internet. I also shop at local ethnic markets and eat at ethnic restaurants in every city I visit (but primarily in the Bay Area where I live). I gather menus, eat extravagantly and inquire about local customs in every state and every country I visit.
